Welcome to our first newsletter of 2020, and a brand-new exciting year!
We hope you have had an enjoyable and relaxing summer break. We have returned refreshed and looking forward to a busy 2020.
The year has started with plenty of international & domestic activity, with the end of the long-running Brexit saga in the United Kingdom, the somewhat “Clayton’s” Trump impeachment, the devastating Australian bushfires & the worrying & ongoing Coronavirus & starting Super Rugby in the middle of summer & cricket. Why please NZ Rugby.
We saw our victorious Silver Ferns rightly winners at the recent Halberg sports awards & Auckland has gone 40 plus days as have several regions around NZ without any rain of significance, while other regions have had floods.
And we still have to come to our own September election with 2 referendums attached to that, National going to court, Winnie in “Hot Water” again & an American election. It just highlights yet again that change is constant & it can be quick, it can be unexpected or it could be a long drawn out affair, there are certain aspects of change we can do nothing about but there are some aspects of change to our lives & health & well being we can do something about & we need to take heed. One being the continual messages around cancer & melanoma, I saw some recent NZ medically researched & published numbers & statistics that were to say the least frightening & alarming & once again highlights to us all.
PLEASE THIS YEAR MAKE SURE WE ALL HAVE THE RELEVANT HEALTH CHECKS DONE & PLEASE ADOPT THE CANCER SOCIETY WARNING ABOUT THE HARSH NZ SUN & WE FOLLOW—THE SLIP, SLOP & SLAP MESSAGE. And, If we find ourselves or friends or family in a dark space please encourage & assist them to talk to someone & if help is needed seek help – PLEASE.
We all hear of stories of people who have “out of the blue” be affected from major health issues/occurrences, it costs very little to get the re-assurance of Health Checks & warnings, the cost to ourselves, family & friends of doing nothing can be severe, significant & long-lasting. We all have heard the message be “A tidy Kiwi” my message to everyone for 2020 is be “A sensible & caring Kiwi” of course I can assist you with your Health & Wellbeing with the AIA Vitality program an inexpensive & effective way of assisting you & your family being “A sensible & caring Kiwi” you will see information in my newsletter in regards to AIA Vitality & if you wish to explore this further as is my recommendation don’t hesitate to contact me.
