March 2022 Newsletter

Welcome to my March newsletter,

As our magnificent summer starts to wind down, we can reflect on a period of great weather and enjoyable times with family and friends, despite the arrival of Omicron.

As we look around the world, it would be fair to say that the COVID-19 pandemic has suddenly become one of a series of challenges that we must come to grips with and live with as part of our everyday environment.

I want to take a minute to reflect on the situation in Ukraine and the many innocent people whose lives are under attack. A brutal and senseless attack that I hope will end before too many more lives are lost. I am sure you join me in extending thoughts and much-needed care to the people of Ukraine.

The floods in Australia have been another tragic occurrence, with many lives and properties lost. The material, financial and emotional cost of this natural disaster will take months to recover from. My thoughts are with all those who have been impacted.

Global pandemics, war, natural disasters, sudden death, and severe illness are examples of how life can change with little or no notice. Often the circumstances and outcomes are beyond our control.

These occurrences highlight and confirm the need for a sound Risk Protection policy that will ensure that your family, loved ones or business is protected when the unexpected does occur.

For $10 a day (the cost of coffee and a muffin), you can take out a robust risk protection policy and invest in a safety valve that will protect you when you need it most. Yes, only $10 per day. That’s a small price to pay for peace of mind!

If you wish to discuss your options or learn more about what structure will best suit your needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me for a no-obligation chat. You can find my contact details below.

Please invite your friends, family members or workmates to call on me to discuss their risk protection requirements should they need it.

Please don’t hesitate to pass on my details to anyone who may benefit from my services.

Have a good month, and thank you for your continued support.

All the very best,

Kevin.

The best compliment you can give me is to recommend me to your family & friends. Is there anyone you know who would benefit from my services & advice?

Back to basics: How to start (and enjoy) a new sport at any age

Picking up a new sport later in life may seem intimidating, but the reality is it’s easier than you think. Tottenham Hotspur Football Club’s Senior International Football Development Manager Anton Blackwood explains why.

At Tottenham Hotspur Football Club – a Global Principal Partner of AIA – we have a saying: ‘To dare is to do’, which doubles as a great life motto. To take risks and be bold is something we should apply to many things in life, including picking up a new sport as an adult.

Dynamic Business: Michael Barnett – Change the things you can

The one thing I have noted over the past year is that there are many who are critical of the Government’s response but not too many prepared to offer solutions or alternatives.

The Chamber and EMA are business organisations that I believe have done well. We listen to our members; we find out what they need and we feedback suggestions and solutions to Government to tailor support. We have shown we are in touch and in tune with what is happening in the real world.

Covid gave us a jolt. It showed us there are realities we must face.

In our lifetimes we have never had to deal with a pandemic on this scale so there are no experts despite the claims by some in Government, bureaucrats and academics as they formulated interventions, protections and restrictions.
